Overview
We are looking for a high-impact GIS Technical Lead who can design, develop and deliver enterprise-grade ERP based geospatial solutions. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in AppianArcGIS Enterprise integration, strong command of enterprise GIS frameworks, and proven experience leading multi-agency digital platforms in complex government environments including forestry domain knowledge.
Preferred Environment Experience
- Experience working in GCC, GCC+ or equivalent secure government cloud environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience implementing ERP platforms integrated with Enterprise GIS systems in GCC/GCC+ or similar secure government cloud environments is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Solution Design
- Experience on end-to-end GIS solution design & development for large-scale government and forestry programs.
- Build secure, scalable Appian and ArcGIS Enterprise integration frameworks in Cloud environment
- Develop technical design documents, solutions, blueprints, and integration patterns.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
- Appian Integration & Enterprise Workflows
- Design and develop Appian Connected Systems, REST APIs, and geoprocessing services.
- Integrate Appian workflows with ArcGIS services for planning, forestry, inspections, and environmental cases.
- Implement secure authentication flows between Apian ERP and Enterprise GIS system
- Must have hands-on experience designing and implementing SSO integrations between ERP applications and ArcGIS Enterprise using OAuth2, SAML, or equivalent identity providers.
- GIS Development & Frontend Engineering
- Develop map-based UIs using ArcGIS JS API, React, Experience Builder, and custom widgets.
- Publish, configure, and optimize feature services, cached map layers, and web applications for high performance.
- Implement spatial data validation, schema mapping, and automation pipelines.
- Build responsive, modular, and reusable GIS components aligned with UX/UI best practices.
- Integrate map workflows with ERP, Appian, and backend APIs for real-time data interaction.
- Troubleshoot and optimize rendering performance, layer loading, and client-side processing in complex enterprise GIS applications.
- Data Migration & ETL
- Lead spatial data migration using FME, ArcPy, and custom ETL frameworks.
- Build staging pipelines and data quality/validation frameworks.
- Must have strong experience executing complex spatial data migrations from older GIS/ERP platforms into GCC or equivalent high-security cloud environments, ensuring data integrity, validation, and seamless transition.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with business owners, ERP teams, architects, developers, and forestry experts.
- Lead technical discussions, provide code reviews, and guide delivery best practices.
Requirements
- 810 years in IT with 5+ years as a GIS Technical Lead.
- Strong experience integrating Appian with ArcGIS Enterprise.
- In-depth knowledge of ArcGIS Server, Portal, Datastore, Web Adaptors & ArcGIS Monitor.
- Installation and management of the Enterprise ArcGIS stack in GCC/GCC+ or any cloud environment.
- Must have hands-on experience in ArcGIS integration with Appian using connected systems, REST API, and plug-in development and integration.
- Expertise in ArcGIS JS API (4.x), Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder.
- Strong Python/ArcPy automation experience.
- Hands-on FME experience for ETL and migration.
- Understanding of GIS + ERP workflows (asset management, Forestry and land management systems).
- Forestry/environmental GIS domain experience preferred.
- Experience in GCC or GCC+ environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-based geospatial analytics.
