Job Summary:
- We're looking for a GEO Specialist who understands how people discover brands through AI answers now (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT-style assistants, Perplexity and similar).
- Your job is to grow our clients visibility inside AI-generated answers, citations, and recommendations, while protecting and growing qualified organic traffic.
- This is not SEO with a new name - you'll be running a structured programme that improves entity understanding, topical authority, on-site clarity, and off-site mention/citation signals that AI systems tend to rely on.
Responsibilities:
- Own GEO strategy and execution across priority clients, with clear KPIs around AI visibility (mentions, citations, inclusion in AI answers) and downstream performance (qualified traffic, leads, assisted conversions).
- Audit and improve entity signals and knowledge consistency across websites and third-party sources (About pages, author bios, schema, Wikidata-style attributes where relevant, directories, profiles, PR mentions, partner sites).
- Build and refresh topic clusters that map to AI answer intent (comparison, best-of, how-to, definitions, pricing, troubleshooting, policy, and decision-stage questions).
- Optimise content for AI extraction and citation: clean structure, concise passages, supporting evidence, first-hand experience signals, clear sourcing, and strong internal linking.
- Implement structured data and technical foundations that reduce ambiguity for machines (Organisation / Person, Article, FAQ where appropriate, product/service schema, breadcrumbs, canonicalization, indexation hygiene).
- Design and execute digital PR / mention strategies that build reputable citations and brand co-occurrence in relevant publications and communities (without spam tactics).
- Work with writers, SMEs, designers and developers to publish citation-ready assets: research notes, statistics pages, calculators, glossaries, original studies, and definitive guides.
- Monitor AI surfaces and prompt patterns: track where and why clients appear (or don't), identify competitor inclusion patterns, and turn findings into actionable changes.
- Create lightweight reporting that clients actually understand what we changed, what moved, what AI systems are showing, and what the next priorities are.
Requirements:
- Min 1-3 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or related field, with exposure to AI-driven search or knowledge systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of entity-based search, AI content extraction, and how AI assistants cite sources.
- Experience with structured data, schema markup, knowledge graphs, and technical SEO fundamentals.
- Familiarity with digital PR, citation-building, and reputation management strategies.
- Ability to analyze complex AI surfaces, search behavior, and content performance, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
