Job Description
A) Role and responsibilities:
The General Manager will lead the Corporate Administration Division and oversee Finance, HR, General Affairs, and Logistics functions.
Key responsibilities include:
-Develop, formulate, and execute mid-term and annual business plans in alignment with regional and HQ strategy.
-Establish and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance control (budget vs. actual).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Japan HQ, including financial, operational, and compliance matters.
-Strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
-Optimize operational efficiency across administrative and support functions.
- Lead and motivate a team, including foreign managers.
- Drive organizational discipline, accountability and performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
- Support business expansion initiatives and cross-border operations within the APAC region.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Regional Head in achieving business targets.
B) Job Requirements, functions, and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience, including senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in corporate administration covering Finance, HR, and Operations.
-Strong sense of ownership and accountability toward achieving business targets.
- Experience in multinational or Japanese company environment preferred.
- Ability to manage and motivate multicultural teams.
- Strong reporting and presentation skills to senior executives and HQ.
-Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
C) Technical skills required:
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and tax regulations
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Internal control and compliance management
-Supply chain and logistics management understanding
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis capability
- Risk management and governance framework implementation
D) Optional skills a plus:
- Experience in manufacturing or electronics industry
- Regional APAC exposure
- Experience in Japanese corporate reporting standards-
- Change management and transformation project leadership
