The General Manager (GM) plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of both the Singapore head office and its network of restaurants. This individual will champion a high-performance culture, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure operational alignment with the company's business objectives and people-first values. The GM will serve as the key liaison between the Singapore team and Taiwan HQ, ensuring seamless communication and execution of corporate goals.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
- Lead short- and long-term strategic planning for Singapore operations, ensuring alignment with global business goals and local market dynamics.
- Develop and implement business strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Collaborate with Taiwan HQ and local stakeholders to establish annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
Financial Management & Performance Monitoring
- Oversee the budgeting process across departments, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and cost controls.
- Analyze monthly P&L statements and financial reports to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive initiatives to meet or exceed financial targets.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and operational standards across all restaurant locations.
- Conduct regular management meetings to review progress, address challenges, and refine business plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience, staff productivity, and operational agility.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and submit weekly performance and operational reports to Taiwan HQ, providing insights and recommendations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HQ, ensuring transparent communication and timely execution of directives.
Team Development & Culture Building
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that reflects the company's values and promotes employee engagement.
- Mentor and develop department heads and key personnel, building a strong leadership pipeline.
- Champion talent acquisition, retention, and training strategies to support business growth.
Other Duties
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management to support evolving business needs.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in the F&B/F&B retail industry, including multi-unit or regional management
- Proven track record in managing both corporate office functions and restaurant operations
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis
- Experience working with or reporting to overseas headquarters or stakeholders is highly desirable
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills able to inspire, coach, and develop cross-functional teams
- Strong operational and process management capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (Mandarin proficiency is a plus for liaising with Taiwan HQ)
