Position: General Manager (Restaurant)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure operational efficiency across all departments.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team, including recruitment, performance appraisals, and career development.
- Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and overheads, to maximize profitability.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in line with regulatory compliance.
- Analyze customer feedback, sales data, and market trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement innovative marketing and promotional strategies to expand the customer base and increase brand loyalty.
- Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen operations, resolving conflicts proactively.
- Introduce operational systems, process improvements, and technology solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Lead crisis management, including handling emergencies, staffing shortages, and customer complaints professionally.
Requirements:
- Degree holders preferred candidates without formal qualifications but with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a senior restaurant management role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make critical decisions quickly.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, staff scheduling, and customer service excellence.
- Willingness to work night shifts, flexible shifts, long hours, weekends, and public holidays.
- Able to handle pressure and adapt to dynamic operational challenges.
