The General Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for providing strategic leadership and end-to-end oversight of the organization's supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and supplier management. This role ensures supply continuity, cost optimization, risk management, and alignment with business objectives while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy aligned with corporate goals and growth plans.
Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain, procurement, logistics, and inventory teams.
Act as a key member of the management team, providing strategic input and decision support.
Procurement & Supplier Management
Oversee strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
Establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and reliability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Logistics, Warehousing & Inventory
Direct logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Optimize inventory levels to balance service level, working capital, and obsolescence risk.
Oversee warehousing operations, capacity planning, and distribution network design.
Cost, Risk & Performance Management
Drive cost reduction initiatives and productivity improvements across the supply chain.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supply disruption, geopolitical, and operational risks.
Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance, service levels, and cost efficiency.
Process Improvement & Digitalization
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, best practices).
Drive digital transformation and adoption of supply chain systems (ERP, planning tools, analytics).
Standardize processes and improve data accuracy, visibility, and decision-making.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Project teams.
Support business development and project execution through effective supply planning.
Manage external stakeholders including logistics providers, vendors, and auditors.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 12-15 years of supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong background in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.
Experience in complex, project-based, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.
