Job Description
- Due to business expansion, we are recruiting a Sales Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for a broad range of roles and responsibilities, including expanding existing and new businesses, executing sales strategies in close alignment with the Japan headquarters, enhancing sales functions, and performing key management tasks related to the operation of the local subsidiary.
- In the IT Management Service (ITMS) domain, which is the core of our existing business, we do not merely sell licenses and services rather, based on the relationships we have built over many years with major customers in Japan, we engage in everything from contract and pricing negotiations to the formulation and execution of plans aimed at maximizing the value we deliver over the medium to long term. Therefore, beyond general IT sales skills, consulting-oriented sales capabilities are required that enable us to accompany customers from the concept and planning stages, based on actual experience in the ITMS domain and an understanding of Japanese companies unique decision-making processes and business practices, as well as the distinctive characteristics of customers IT environments.
- In the new business area, you will be responsible for driving business expansion in the Asian region, starting with major customers in the real estate industry that are strategic priorities for our Japan headquarters. After assuming the position, you will work in close coordination with the relevant departments at the Japan headquarters to promptly gain an understanding of the customer's business structure, medium-term IT plan, and decision-making background at both its domestic and overseas locations, and, based on this information, drive sales activities toward the local subsidiaries. You will be required to perform business management, budget and actual performance control, and PDCA execution on the premise of integrated operations with the Japan headquarters, build relationships of trust with customer stakeholders, understand business practices in the real estate industry, and ensure compliance with Singaporean laws and regulations.
- In addition, you will be responsible for expanding into the Asian market the energy-related IoT solutions that have a proven track record at the Japan headquarters. In collaboration with the Japan headquarters, you will take the lead in formulating business plans and promoting the development of local sales channels. In the sales phase, you will engage in discussions on an equal footing with customers energy and facility departments and execute implementation design, cost-effectiveness assessments, and proposals related to improving energy efficiency, primarily for air-conditioning equipment.
- As a Sales Manager, you will not only take the initiative in driving these sales activities yourself, but will also be responsible for developing and guiding the local sales department, thereby establishing, at an organizational level, a standard of sales quality and service quality that meets the expectations of the Japan headquarters and key customers.
- In addition, you will be responsible for administrative operations in managing the local subsidiary (primarily accounting and billing/payment control), and for reporting and explaining business performance to the Japan headquarters.
- You will also be expected to accurately understand the system change and policies at the Japan headquarters and take the initiative in making the necessary adjustments for their implementation at the local level.
Essential responsibilities, qualifications, experiences and skills
- Over 10 years of experience in IT sales handling the formulation and presentation of sales strategies, marketing, customer listing and new customer development, price negotiations, and contract conclusion negotiations for corporate clients, of which more than 3 years of experience specialized in the ITSM domain is required.
- More than 3 years of sales experience with customers in the real estate industry. Experience in understanding business practices in the real estate industry and achieving strong sales performance within them is required.
- More than 3 years of experience in energy-related business. Knowledge of electricity, gas, and air conditioning systems is preferred.
- More than 3 years of business experience handling IoT-related solutions. Knowledge of sensing technologies and IoT communication standards is preferred.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience in a sales organization for corporate clients, including experience in formulating business plans and activity plans within one's area of responsibility, as well as sales forecasting and performance management.
- Business-level English and Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1) for making IT-related sales proposals and negotiations with our key clients, as well as for communication with MKI headquarters.
