Develop and expand supplier networks across Singapore and ASEAN countries to support Kyocera's global procurement strategy.
Coordinate closely with design, quality assurance, and manufacturing divisions at Kyocera Japan headquarters to evaluate and select strategic partner suppliers.
Conduct regular supplier visits leveraging regional proximity to maintain relationships, verify production capability, and monitor performance.
Provide procurement support to Kyocera Group manufacturing sites across Asia, including on-site issue resolution involving delivery delays and quality matters.
Support procurement activities for direct and indirect materials ordered by Kyocera Japan, including delivery schedule management and supplier communication.
Execute and support procurement-related compliance activities across the Asia region in alignment with Kyocera policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare reports and analysis on supplier performance, procurement risks, and market conditions for Japan headquarters and internal stakeholders.
Any other aperiodic assignments which fall within the nature of this role.
Job Requirements/Skills
Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation and supply chain management within the electronics and manufacturing sectors
Proficiency in Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and English, as the role involves frequent communication and coordination with Japanese stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Japan and the Asia region, with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel frequently within Asia for supplier visits, negotiations and issue resolution.
Knowledge of procurement compliance requirements in Asia
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or supply chain roles, preferably in electronics or manufacturing sectors.
Experience in crossborder supplier management or Asiawide procurement operations is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field
