Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven General Manager Commercial (Sales) to lead and grow our Singapore business in the concrete manufacturing and solutions sector. This role carries full P&L ownership and is responsible for driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and strategic market positioning.
The ideal candidate has a strong commercial mindset, deep understanding of the Singapore construction ecosystem, and proven experience selling integrated solutions not just standalone products.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L & Business Leadership
Full ownership of revenue, gross margin, and overall profitability
Develop and execute annual business plans and sales strategies
Drive sustainable growth while maintaining cost discipline
Forecast, budgeting, and financial performance monitoring
2. Commercial & Sales Strategy
Lead the sales team to achieve revenue and margin targets
Shift the organization toward solution-based selling (value engineering, technical advisory, bundled offerings)
Identify new market opportunities in infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors
Develop pricing strategies aligned with market positioning
3. Market Development & Networking
Leverage strong existing networks within Singapore's construction ecosystem (developers, main contractors, consultants, architects, government agencies)
Build strategic partnerships and long-term key accounts
Represent the company in industry associations and networking platforms
4. Solution Selling & Customer Engagement
Drive consultative sales approach understand project requirements and propose tailored concrete solutions
Collaborate with technical and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions
Position the company as a trusted solutions provider rather than a commodity supplier
5. Team Leadership
Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing commercial team
Foster performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability
Align cross-functional collaboration between sales, operations, and finance
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 1015 years of experience in construction materials, ready-mix concrete, precast, or building solutions industry
Proven track record with full P&L responsibility
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Demonstrated experience in solution-based / consultative selling
Established network within Singapore construction and infrastructure market
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
