As the General Manager at FUTURE DESIGN PTE LTD, you will oversee all business operations, project management, and team leadership for our interior design and renovation projects. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Overall Business Leadership: Drive company growth, set strategic goals, and ensure alignment with our mission of delivering high-quality interior design and renovation solutions.
  • Project Oversight: Manage end-to-end construction and renovation projects, including planning, resource allocation, timeline adherence, and quality control to meet client expectations and safety standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (designers, contractors, site supervisors, and administrative staff), fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, handle key account negotiations, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource utilization to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects comply with Singapore's building regulations, safety codes, and industry best practices.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to expand our client base and service offerings in interior design and construction.

Job Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5-8 years of progressive management experience in the construction, interior design, or building renovation industry, with a proven track record of leading projects and teams.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, interior design principles, material selection, and project management methodologies. Familiarity with Singapore's building codes, safety regulations (e.g., MOM, BCA guidelines), and industry compliance standards.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities to guide teams and resolve project challenges. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills to build trust and manage stakeholder expectations. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera) and business software (MS Office, CRM systems).
  • Other Attributes: Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency, quality delivery, and business growth. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project demands. Strong ethical standards and commitment to workplace safety and sustainability.
