Job Summary
Lead and manage the Equipment & Supply Chain Department to optimize empty container inventory and repositioning across Southeast Asia, ensuring cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Manage personnel in the Equipment & Supply Chain Department to control empty container inventory variations and address surplus or shortage volumes efficiently across Southeast Asia
- Plan and maintain optimal empty container repositioning and inventory levels at designated locations
- Select and evaluate the best empty container repositioning routes by analyzing advantages and disadvantages to optimize logistics
- Assess and control empty container dwell and reposition costs to maintain safety inventory and minimize expenses
- Track and monitor the progress of empty container repositioning for each vessel and voyage to ensure timely operations
- Monitor container movements throughout Southeast Asia to support supply chain visibility and decision-making
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese, including the ability to write reports in Chinese for Headquarters in Shanghai
- Strong understanding of the freight forwarding and supply chain solutions market, preferably with specialization in specific industry verticals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to logistics and supply chain challenges
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
