Job Description

About Engineering Good

Engineering Good (EG) is a Singapore-based non-profit charity organisation founded in 2014 (, UEN 201408320W). We empower low-income and vulnerable communities with technological and engineering solutions. Our two main pillars of work are Digital Inclusion and Assistive Technology.

  • Our Digital Inclusion (DI) activities chiefly focus on refurbishing and repairing used laptops which are then re-distributed to vulnerable communities such as low-income families through our community partners (CPs). This also contributes to other social objectives such as reducing unnecessary e-waste, and promoting longevity of digital devices through repairability.

  • Our Assistive Technology (AT) efforts focus on helping persons with disabilities through developing assistive devices that help them live a life of independence and opportunity. We do this by engaging with our CPs and their clients who are persons with disabilities (PwDs) to establish problem statements, and then working with our community's volunteers to co-create potential solutions which we then conceptualise, prototype, and refine to a final hand-off to the client.

Together with a growing group of committed volunteers and staff, we have supported over 200 social service agencies in Singapore since our founding, with an ever-increasing stable of projects we have worked on. We are proud to have enabled low-income students to attend online classes, assisted a visually impaired senior feed his service dog, helped a child in a boys home to learn coding, amongst other projects!
