Job Description
Legal Affairs Management
- Oversee all legal matters of the company and its affiliated entities, including review of major contracts and management of legal cases.
- Lead legal risk identification, investigation and reporting processes across the organization.
- Manage corporate insurance matters related to company assets and liabilities.
- Coordinate internal legal resources to provide legal advisory and transactional support to affiliated companies.
- Liaise with external law firms and legal service providers in Singapore and recommend appropriate legal counsel based on business needs.
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary on compliance matters and ensure proper handling of regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Risk Management and Internal Control
- Establish and oversee the company's internal control and risk management framework.
- Lead the development and annual compilation of regional management policies and procedures.
- Prepare annual risk analysis and risk management reports, identifying emerging risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Monitor regional economic, political developments in Southeast Asia and assess potential business risks.
- Prepare internal control reports and oversee remediation of internal control deficiencies.
- Produce specialized risk assessment reports to support management decision making.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law, Risk Management, or a related discipline a Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in legal affairs, compliance, risk management, or corporate governance and minimum 8 years in multinational corporations or regional headquarters.
- With minimum 8 years of leadership or management experience, preferably overseeing legal or risk management functions.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract management, regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex legal matters, corporate governance issues, and strategic risk assessments.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior executives and external advisors.
