Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially drivenGeneral Manager / Senior Trader to lead the development and expansion of its agri trading business. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building trading capabilities, establishing market presence, and driving profitability across the value chain
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for the agricultural trading division
- Identify high-potential markets, products, and trade flows
- Build a scalable and profitable trading platform from inception
- Establish short, medium, and long-term growth plans
Trading & Commercial Leadership
- Lead physical trading activities across key soft commodities
- Drive P&L performance and manage trading risk exposure
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, and intermediaries
- Identify arbitrage opportunities and optimize trade flows
Key Requirements
- Experience: 7-12+ years of experience in agricultural commodities trading
- Proven track record of building or scaling a trading desk or business
- Strong P&L management experience
- Flexible to travel
