Position Summary
The incumbent is responsible for performing general accounting duties to support the Head of General Ledger.
Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts
- Prepare journal and fixed asset entries
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and follow up on the outstanding items, if any
- Review the reasonableness of financials before closing the monthly books
- Prepare monthly flux analysis to management
- Liaise with departments and shared service centre on AP related matters
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and cash flow forecast
- Prepare quarterly reports to MAS and shareholder banks
- Prepare withholding tax and quarterly GST for submission to IRAS
- Prepare tax and deferred tax computation at year-end and ensure timely filing of taxes to tax authorities
- Assist with auditor requests and drafting of the annual financial reports
- Compile the data and information for submission to the Department of Statistics
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of sales invoicing
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures and accounting standards, statutory authority and audit requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Degree (majoring in Accountancy) or Professional Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounting or Big 4 audit firm. Audit experience will be advantageous.
- A self-starter, with good problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
- Excellent people management skills, with demonstrated track record on collaboration
