Key Responsibilities of a Construction Site Supervisor:
1. Supervising Daily Operations
. Oversee and coordinate on-site activities.
. Ensure work is progressing according to schedule and specifications.
. Monitor the performance of workers and subcontractors.
2. Safety Management
. Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
. Conduct safety briefings and ensure the use of protective equipment.
. Investigate and report incidents or accidents.
3. Quality Control
. Ensure that work meets the required standards and specifications.
. Inspect materials and workmanship.
. Address quality issues promptly.
4. Communication & Coordination
. Act as a liaison between workers, project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
. Communicate project goals, deadlines, and changes to the site crew.
. Report progress and problems to senior management.
5. Resource Management
. Manage tools, materials, and equipment.
. Prevent wastage and ensure materials are used efficiently.
. Order supplies and materials as needed.
6. Documentation & Reporting
. Maintain daily logs of site activities.
. Track attendance, delays, incidents, and inspections.
. Submit reports to project managers or site engineers.
7. Problem Solving
. Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
. Make decisions on the spot to keep the project moving.
8. Compliance
. Ensure the project follows building codes, regulations, and company policies.
. Prepare for inspections and ensure readiness.
