Job Description
- Act as a trusted legal and commercial advisor to senior leadership, providing pragmatic, commercially grounded legal advice aligned with strategic objectives
- Lead, develop, and manage an in‑house legal team, fostering strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement across the organisation
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex domestic and international commercial contracts, including sales, services, supply, and long‑term framework agreements
- Advise on high‑value, operationally complex agreements supporting core business activities and long‑term customer or partner relationships
- Manage contractual claims, disputes, and contentious matters, working closely with external counsel where required
- Support major strategic projects such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, and the establishment of overseas operations
- Deliver internal legal training and provide updates on relevant legal, regulatory, and governance developments affecting the business
The Successful Applicant
A successful legal professional should have:
- Law degree with honours from a reputable institution
- Qualified lawyer admitted to practise in Singapore
- Minimum 15 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate and commercial law
- Strong track record advising on cross‑border transactions and complex contractual arrangements
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior business partner to executive and board‑level stakeholders
- Proven leadership capability with experience managing and developing legal teams
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a practical, solutions‑oriented approach
