The ideal candidate will be a highly numerate graduate with experience in the oil/gas industry or a background in finance, engineering, economics, or a related field, and should demonstrate the following:
- 14 years of analytical or research experience in the gas/LNG industry. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome.
- Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate effectively within project teams.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract relevant information and develop robust models.
- Excellent numeracy and written communication skills, with confidence in handling large, complex, and often unstructured datasets. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional Asian languages is a plus.
- Eligibility to work legally in Singapore.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under time constraints.
- Capability to collaborate with regional offices to support global product promotion.
- A strong curiosity and eagerness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with data analytics and automation tools such as Python (with Pandas and related libraries) and Power Query is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse data on market fundamentals (supply, demand, trade) and pricing for gas/LNG.
- Model and evaluate market fundamentals for gas/LNG, including building forecasts, databases, and assessments to support FGE NexantECA's short- and long-term gas/LNG services.
- Produce and write analytical reports, including both retainer and ad-hoc reports, as a core part of the role.
- Analyse macroeconomic and microeconomic data relevant to the energy industry.
- Provide research support to consultants and senior analysts.
- Prepare presentation materials for internal and external clients and respond to client queries.
- Communicate insights effectively through published notes, presentations, calls, emails, and client meetings.
- Coordinate and contribute to project work and subscription-based reports.
