Event Coordination and Visitor Management
i. Assist with visitor queries and security clearance.
ii. Promote upcoming gallery tours to visitors and outreach to schools and organisations.
iii. Plan, design, develop, and manage visits to premises and tours to the gallery.
iv. Support the organisation with any day-to-day operational needs, such as setting up of the venue at the premises or gallery and preparing hospitality gifts and materials for the visitors.
v. Administer, facilitate, and deliver an educational programme, tours, learning activities for the gallery.
vi. Duties include prolonged periods of standing and walking as part of guiding the tour at the gallery.
Administrative Duties
vii. Provide a monthly report on the number of visits and events to premises and tours to the gallery, including feedback, in a format and on a date as determined.
ix. Provide any administrative support services (such as collating particulars of visitors, setting up related to visits to the premises and tours for the gallery.
x. Monitor supplies (i.e. souvenirs, learning kits, etc) and ensure replenishment.
Gallery Maintenance and Experience Enhancement
xi. Determine artefacts to be displayed at the gallery, and collaborate with vendors on the best methods to creatively display and convey a storyline that speaks to the audience.
xii. Assist with the preserving, handling, packing, transport of the collection for display and storage of heritage items.
xiii. Conduct research by examining and cross-referencing various sources of information to ensure historical accounts at the gallery are factually accurate (e.g., archives, newspapers, registry files).
xiv. Keep abreast of the latest developments local/global contemporary issues to incorporate into current area of work to keep it current/updated.
xv. Analyse data and information gathered from various sources and incorporate them in the improvement of the content for the gallery.
xvi. Support the planning and organising of interviews series
i. Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
ii. Minimum two (2) years of experience in public speaking, hosting or conducting briefings to a large group of audience
iii. Minimum a Diploma holder with at least 5 O-Level subject passes (including English)
iv. Personnel with at least 10 years of working experience will be preferred as the accumulated experience would contribute to the visitors experience
v. Good interpersonal and communication skills
vi. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook applications
- 8.30am to 6.00pm, excluding weekends and Singapore Public Holidays.
