This is a time‑bound, delivery‑focused role to define, document, and drive execution of end‑to‑end FX workflows, with a strong focus on Custody operating models, systems, and controls.
The role is critical to unblocking decisions, aligning stakeholders, and delivering a clear, executable target state within a compressed timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
1. FX & Custody Workflow Definition (Primary Accountability)
- Rapidly assess and define end‑to‑end FX trade workflows, with specific focus on custody‑related processes (pre‑trade, execution, confirmation, settlement, funding, and post‑trade).
- Document current‑state vs target‑state workflows across FX, Fixed Income, and Equities interfaces where relevant.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and control considerations across custody platforms, booking models, and downstream systems.
- Produce clear, decision‑ready artefacts (workflow maps, issue logs, dependency trackers) within tight timelines.
2. Hands‑on Project Execution & Delivery
- Drive the project to completion within a defined 2‑month window, maintaining momentum and clear milestones.
- Partner closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Custody teams to resolve open items and land agreed outcomes.
- Act as a single point of coordination, ensuring issues are surfaced, decisions are made, and actions are tracked through to closure.
- Focus on practical, implementable outcomes rather than conceptual design.
3. Stakeholder Alignment& Governance
- Lead working‑level and senior discussions to align on workflow decisions, ownership, and sequencing.
- Represent the business in decision forums, ensuring priorities remain anchored to delivery timelines.
- Facilitate structured engagement with second line, operations, onboarding, and custody stakeholders to ensure alignment with risk and control expectations.
Key Deliverables
- Approved target‑state FX & custody workflow with clear ownership.
- Documented system touchpoints, handoffs, and control checkpoints.
- Agreed execution plan covering next steps, dependencies, and owners.
- Clear escalation log with resolved vs residual issues.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Custody workflows and systems, specifically as they relate to FX trade lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of front‑to‑back FX processing, including booking models, settlement, funding, and post‑trade flows.
- Proven ability to drive short‑duration, high‑intensity projects with minimal ramp‑up time.
- Comfortable working across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Custody teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to translate complexity into clear, action‑oriented outcomes.
- Experience operating in fast‑moving, senior‑stakeholder environments with tight deadlines.
