Job Description

FX Proprietary Trader

A well-established bank is looking for an experienced FX Proprietary Trader to join its Treasury team, focusing on proprietary trading and active position management across FX markets.

Key Responsibilities

Execute proprietary FX trading strategies across spot, forwards, swaps and other approved FX instruments.
Manage trading positions and P&L within approved market risk, stop-loss and position limits.
Analyse macroeconomic developments, central bank policies, interest rates and market flows to identify trading opportunities.
Develop short- and medium-term market views and translate them into disciplined trading strategies.
Monitor exposures and actively manage risk, liquidity and hedging requirements.

Requirements

Relevant experience in FX proprietary trading, market-making or active risk-taking within a bank or financial institution.
Strong understanding of G10 and/or Asian currencies, FX derivatives and global macro markets.
Demonstrated ability to manage positions, trading risk and P&L independently.
Strong analytical skills with sound trading judgement and risk discipline.
Relevant regulatory qualifications such as FMRP would be advantageous.
