Job Description

The role is responsible for managing and governing the Technology and Operations (T&O) functions across the Overseas Branches (OB), ensuring compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will drive operational and technology risk management, standardization of processes, and delivery of key initiatives to support sustainable growth across the OB network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and lead the standardization of T&O procedures and processes across overseas branches, aligning Group objectives with local regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of Group Banking Operations Policy and risk management frameworks, ensuring full compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational and technology risks to prevent potential losses and reputational harm.
  • Direct end-to-end delivery of technology and operational initiatives, including project planning, stakeholder alignment, architectural reviews, vendor management, and phased execution.
  • Conduct T&O peer reviews of overseas branches, focusing on operational risks, regulatory adherence, and compliance with Group policies.
  • Establish Group-level risk indicators and control standards to monitor exposure to fraud, operational failures, and losses.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Operations Managers in overseas branches on process controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Exercise oversight on rollout of Group policies, procedures, products, and system implementations across OBs.
  • Lead gap analysis for new regulatory notices and internal policy changes; coordinate remediation plans and present updates to Group TRR.
  • Support OBs in Group-driven initiatives such as Annual Obsolescence Review, Cybersecurity Desktop Exercises, and KRSCA reviews.
  • Maintain engagement with Group Technology & Operations (GTO) at Head Office to ensure alignment with Group operations and technology standards.
  • Strengthen T&O risk culture across overseas branches through regular engagement, knowledge sharing, and early risk discussions.
  • Represent overseas branches at Group Committees and working groups (e.g., CTSC, ORMC) as required.
  • Provide oversight on T&O-related audit findings, management responses, and action plans for internal, external, and regulatory audits.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline; Master's preferred.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in operations, technology risk management, or process standardization within banking or financial services, preferably with exposure to international operations.
  • Strong knowledge of operational and technology risk frameworks, regulatory compliance, and Group policy implementation.
  • Experience in project delivery, vendor management, and large-scale cross-border initiatives.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide multiple teams across geographies and influence senior stakeholders.
