Fund Operations Manager

Overview Of Role/Principle Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the management of the Fund Mandate team that is part of the APAC hub based in Singapore. The function is undergoing a period of transformation and has a clear plan. You will take the lead to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and digitalization, as well as drive the execution of business plans, projects and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the team operations. You will also provide strong leadership to the team to deliver sustainable and strong oversight on key service providers to deliver high quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Objectives

  • Drive change and innovation in our fund operations through the identification and implementation of process improvements, automation, digitalization, and other innovative solutions
  • Provide leadership and work with internal and external stakeholders to shape fund operations into a strong regional team to achieve global operations strategies
  • Deliver a suite of robust controls and monitoring mechanism to ensure a sustainable and strong oversight on key service providers
  • Oversee the team in the engagement with internal and external stakeholders to establish and deliver operational procedures for product launches and changes
  • Conduct regular reviews of internal and external SLAs, KPIs and procedures
  • Oversight and manage the team's operational risk profile
  • Conduct objectives setting and appraisal for the team
  • Develop potentials and manage career expectations of team members

Requirements

  • At least 10 - 12 years of experience in operations and have spent time working on fund administration and/or transfer agency, with track record in driving change and innovation.
  • Experience in overseeing fund reporting including but not limited to fund factsheet production, managing digital fund centre and data dissemination
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team
  • Good understanding of operational risks and control frameworks
  • Strong advocate of continuous improvement in quality and delivery of the team
  • Effective communication skills, written, presentational and verbal
  • Experience in managing relationships with service providers
  • Familiarity with technology and automation in fund operation, including digitalization initiatives.
