Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fund Operations Manager (6-month contract) to support the newly established Orbit Public Equity Strategy. The role will be considered for extension / conversion, subject to business needs and satisfactory performance.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the public equity funds, with a strong focus on oversight of service providers, financial reporting accuracy, and operational controls.You will work closely with the investment team, finance function, and external service providers to establish and maintain robust fund operations processes suitable for a growing public markets platform.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

1) Fund Operations & Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day fund operations for the public equity strategy, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services by external fund administrators
  • Review monthly NAVs, management accounts, and investor reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies where required
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements, including consolidated fund financials

2) Financial Reporting, Audit & Compliance

  • Manage and coordinate the annual audit process, acting as the key point of contact with external auditors
  • Oversee fee calculations, expense allocations, and accruals to ensure accuracy and compliance with fund documentation
  • Support tax compliance processes, including coordination with tax advisors and review of tax filings
  • Ensure internal reporting requirements and controls are met, including adherence to internal policies and governance standards

3) Cash, Liquidity & Treasury

  • Monitor fund cash positions, liquidity, and solvency
  • Support capital call and distribution processes where applicable
  • Oversee cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and solvency testing
  • Monitor loan covenants and other financing-related obligations, if any
  • Trades execution & follow-up action (Subscription / Redemption, Spot FX, Share trades, Fees, Transfers)

4) Payments, Banking & Service Providers

  • Oversee invoice review, approval, and payment processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Coordinate with banks and service providers on operational matters, including account openings, signatory changes, and KYC documentation
  • Act as a key liaison with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and other external providers

5) Process Build-Out & Continuous Improvement

  • Help establish and document fund operations processes, controls, and workflows appropriate for a newly launched public equity strategy
  • Identify operational risks and inefficiencies and recommend improvements as the platform scales

What we look for:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
  • Approximately 58 years of relevant fund operations experience within asset management, hedge funds, public markets, or private equity
  • At least 3 years of experience overseeing outsourced service providers, including fund administrators and auditors
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational controls
  • High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a lean, fast-evolving environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Practical, solutions-oriented approach with sound judgement and integrity
  • Only Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents will be considered due to visa restrictions
