Job Summary
A first opinion companion animal clinic is seeking a full-time experienced veterinary technician to join the team. The clinic is equipped with digital x-ray, in-house lab, ultrasound, dental equipment, and anaesthetic monitoring facilities. The role involves providing quality animal care and customer service in a friendly work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks to support veterinarians in diagnosing and treating companion animals using digital x-ray, ultrasound, and dental equipment
- Conduct in-house laboratory tests accurately to assist in animal diagnosis and treatment planning
- Monitor anaesthetic procedures and ensure animal safety during surgeries using anaesthetic monitoring equipment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners to explain procedures and provide care instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment to support effective animal care
- Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver high-quality customer service and animal care
Required competencies and certifications
- Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience performing clinical veterinary technician duties
- Apply clinical skills effectively in a companion animal setting
- Communicate fluently in English to interact with team members and clients
