Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse

Are you a passionate and experienced veterinary nurse looking to grow your career in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary hospital environment We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in the Internal Medicine department with consultations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Provide nursing care for hospitalised patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and patient handling
- Assist reception team with scheduling internal medicine consults and reviews.
- Support advanced diagnostic procedures (e.g. imaging, endoscopy, laboratory work)
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure high standards of patient care
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Assist with client updates and communications, educating pet owners to maintain compliance with their pets home care
- Stock-taking and liasing with hospital purchasing manager to maintain and update Internal Medicine department inventory
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of treatment and hospital areas
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent)
- Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital will be highly regarded
- Prior experience handling endoscopes (cleaning, setting up, maintenance) will be highly regarded.
- Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail
Working Hours
- 4 days work week (10 hours per day)
- Occasional Saturday half-days may be required for patient discharges
- No public holiday work required.
- Total working hours will not exceed 44 hours per week
