At Overmugged, we're reimagining education by connecting students with inspiring teachers, powerful learning strategies, and a vibrant community. We're on the lookout for a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Marketing Associate (Content) to join our growing team.
This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes content - from bite-sized TikToks to long-form YouTube videos, educational podcasts, and SEO-rich articles.
The scope of this role includes but is not limited to:
1. Content Strategy & Creation
You'll be a key player in shaping Overmugged's voice across multiple platforms. This includes:
Short-Form Video
Ideate, script, film, and edit TikTok and Instagram Reels tailored for student engagement and virality
Stay on top of trends and adapt them to Overmugged's brand identity
Coordinate with teachers and students for cameo/involvement where relevant
Long-Form Content
Plan and produce YouTube content (e.g., A Day in the Life of a Student, behind-the-scenes at Overmugged, academic tips)
Assist in livestreaming initiatives, from Instagram Live Q&As to webinars and online events
Manage logistics and editing of educational podcast episodes, collaborating with hosts and guests to deliver high-value conversations
Written Content
Write and optimize SEO-focused blog articles (e.g., study tips, education trends, Overmugged stories) to boost organic search visibility
Develop email newsletters to keep our community informed and engaged
Create website content that clearly communicates our value proposition and brand story
Repurposing & Distribution
Break down long-form content into snackable social clips for reuse across channels
Work closely with the Ads team to adapt content into high-performing paid creatives
Schedule and manage a content calendar that aligns with campaign goals and academic seasonality
2. Design & Visual Branding
Design compelling Instagram posts, carousels, and infographics using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite
Support in maintaining brand consistency across all visuals and messaging
3. Community Management
Engage with students and parents across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
Monitor DMs and comments to maintain an active and responsive presence
Organize and execute occasional interactive campaigns, contests, or UGC drives
4. Campaign Execution
Assist with full-funnel marketing campaigns, from ideation to post-campaign analysis
Collaborate with the marketing and academic teams to ensure campaigns align with brand objectives and resonate with our target audience
