FULL-TIME PRIMARY ENGLISH TEACHER Mind's Eye Learning Hub

We're looking for a FUN, TRENDY and genuinely engaging English teacher who isn't afraid to bring their personality into the classroom.

If you're loud, energetic, can make kids laugh, and somehow understand what rizz, aura and brainrot mean - you might be exactly who we're looking for.

More importantly, you should be someone who genuinely enjoys working with primary school children and knows how to make English lessons something they look forward to attending.

Experience teaching MOE Primary School English is a bonus, but personality, teaching ability and the willingness to connect with our students matter just as much.

As a full-time English teacher at Mind's Eye Learning Hub, you'll work closely with our team to create a learning environment that is fun, engaging and effective.

You will teach:

• Paper 1 - Composition
• Paper 2 - Grammar, Synthesis & Transformation, Editing, Cloze, Comprehension Open-Ended and other components
• Oral during the PSLE Oral season

Our teaching philosophy goes beyond getting students to memorise model answers. We want our students to understand how and why they can improve, especially when it comes to composition writing and language skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach Primary School English: Paper 1, Paper 2 & Oral
• Make lessons fun, engaging and effective
• Identify and address students learning gaps
• Track students progress and provide monthly feedback
• Work closely with the teaching team on curriculum and student development

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't need to be the stereotypical English teacher.

We want someone with a GOATED personality - someone our students can connect with, have fun with and learn from.

You should be:

• Energetic, confident and comfortable being yourself in front of a class
• Able to make lessons fun without compromising learning outcomes
• Patient and attentive to individual students needs
• Good at breaking down difficult English concepts into simple, practical explanations
• Comfortable teaching both weaker and stronger students
• Able to communicate clearly with the teaching team

These would be a bonus:

• Familiarity with the latest MOE English Language syllabus
• Understanding of PSLE English scoring and marking requirements
• Strong understanding of Primary School composition teaching
• Experience teaching Primary 1-6 English
• A background in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field

Work arrangement: Hybrid - physical and Zoom lessons
Schedule: Sessions arranged by mutual agreement
Students: Your own pool of students to teach and manage
