Full Stack Engineer (Gen AI) - Senior / Lead

/ ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying full‑stack applications that integrate Generative AI capabilities. The Full Stack Engineer will work across frontend, backend, and API layers, supporting government digital platforms and services. The role interacts with product owners, UX designers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and user‑centric solutions. The overall purpose is to accelerate digital transformation by embedding GenAI into citizen‑facing and internal government applications.

/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop full‑stack applications using NodeJS, Python, React, JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Integrate Generative AI models and APIs into government platforms to enhance functionality and user experience.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for secure and scalable data exchange.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (UX, product, data science, DevOps) to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

• Implement secure coding practices aligned with public‑sector compliance requirements.

• Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing to ensure reliability and performance.

• Support deployment and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps engineers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across frontend, backend, and AI integration layers.

• Document technical designs, APIs, and workflows for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.

• Champion continuous improvement by exploring new GenAI frameworks, libraries, and tools.

/ MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

Technical

• Hands‑on experience with NodeJS, Python, React, JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of API development and integration.

• Practical experience embedding Generative AI models/APIs into applications.

• Experience in full‑stack application development.

• Understanding of secure software delivery in regulated environments.

• Minimum 5 years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in full‑stack roles.

• Proven track record delivering production‑ready applications.

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

• Government / Public Sector technology delivery.

• Citizen services, e‑government platforms, or compliance‑driven environments.

• AI/ML application development in enterprise or public‑sector contexts.

/ GOOD-TO-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in Singapore Government / Public Sector projects.

• Familiarity with SHIP‑HATS or similar compliance frameworks.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).

• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Developer, TensorFlow Developer).

/ TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript.

• Backend: NodeJS, Python.

• APIs: RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth.

• GenAI: Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, LangChain (preferred).

• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP (advantageous).

• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins (preferred).

• Testing: Unit testing, Integration testing, UAT.

• Security: Secure coding practices, vulnerability scanning.
