Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to lead technical delivery across the full engineering lifecycle - from discovery and architecture through development, deployment, and production operations.

This is a consultancy and client-facing role combining hands-on engineering, technical leadership, architecture, and coaching. You will set engineering standards, de-risk technical decisions through prototypes and spikes, and build lasting engineering capability within client teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery and architecture for greenfield development and legacy modernisation
Design solutions using microservices, event-driven, API-first, and strangler architecture patterns
Build production-quality applications with strong automated test coverage
Champion engineering practices including TDD, code reviews, pair programming, refactoring, and technical debt management
Design API contracts, integration patterns, and scalable application architectures
Develop POCs and technical spikes to validate and de-risk architecture decisions
Deploy applications on modern cloud platforms using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
Establish monitoring, observability, and production-readiness practices
Identify technical risks and clearly communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Coach client engineers through pairing, workshops, mentorship, and continuous feedback
Facilitate architecture reviews, technical discovery sessions, mob programming, and engineering retrospectives

Requirements

5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience across architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production operations
Experience delivering both greenfield and legacy modernisation projects
Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and modern software architecture
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automated testing, and observability
Strong understanding of software security and OWASP best practices
Experience coaching or mentoring engineers through pairing, workshops, or technical leadership
Comfortable working across different programming languages, frameworks, and technology stacks
Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences
Consultancy or professional services experience is advantageous
Familiarity with SHIP-HATS, SG Tech Stack, Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) or Singapore Government projects is advantageous
