About the job

The React Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing web applications using React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, expertise in JavaScript programming, and a passion for building scalable and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop user interfaces for web applications using React.js.
• Develop server-side logic and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for data exchange between frontend and backend systems.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed for application functionality.
• Design and implement database schemas and models using MongoDB, MySQL, or other NoSQL/SQL databases.
• Perform database migrations, optimizations, and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with best practices and standards.
• Optimize frontend and backend code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications to identify bugs and issues.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to resolve defects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Document technical specifications, architecture, and implementation details for frontend and backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Requirement and Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on React.js and Node.js development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript programming and related technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, ES6).
• Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., Redux, Vue.js) and backend frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL) and ORM libraries.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Security Requirement (Mandatory)

This role involves work on Singapore Government projects. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore and must be eligible for the required security clearance. Appointment to this role is subject to successful completion of all security vetting and clearance requirements.
