Frontend Engineer (Vue.js)

Rhino Partners is hiring a Frontend Engineer to work on a design platform portal for a Singapore government agency. The platform supports multiple digital services and products. You will design, build and maintain responsive, accessible and high-performance web components in an Agile and DevOps environment.

Contract details

- Start date: 30 October 2026

- Duration: 2 years (1 year base plus 1 year option)

- Location: Singapore, onsite

- Security clearance: must be able to obtain CAT 2 clearance

What you will do

- Work with project and product teams to refine user stories and turn them into technical requirements

- Design, develop and maintain responsive and accessible web components

- Apply frontend best practices for component reuse, performance and accessibility

- Protect applications against XSS, CSRF and other common vulnerabilities

- Integrate code analysis and security testing tools such as SonarQube and Fortify on Demand into the workflow

- Support vulnerability scans and penetration tests, and fix the issues they find

- Document technical decisions, patterns and frontend standards

What you bring

- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, IT or a related field

- At least 3 years of frontend development experience

- Strong hands-on HTML, CSS and JavaScript

- Strong Vue.js experience (React or Angular is a plus)

- Good understanding of modern frontend architecture, reusable components and responsive design

- Experience turning UI/UX designs into accessible interfaces, with working knowledge of WCAG

- Solid fundamentals in code quality, testing, maintainability and performance

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and frontend build and deployment

- Experience building or running web applications on AWS or another cloud platform

- Experience using Storybook for component development and documentation

- A security-focused approach with hands-on remediation experience

- Able to work independently and research problems on your own

Good to have

- Experience on Singapore government systems

- Familiarity with IM8 policies and the Digital Service Standards (DSS)
