Freight Operations Oversight
- Manage the full spectrum of freight forwarding activities, including imports, exports, and transshipments
- Oversee shipment tracking to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any arising issues
- Ensure all operations comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal policies
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and support a team of Customer Focus Executives and Operations Executives, providing coaching and performance oversight
- Promote coordination across departments such as sales, finance, and warehousing
- Evaluate operational effectiveness and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies
Client & Vendor Engagement
- Act as the key liaison for customer communications, addressing concerns and service issues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics providers
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and vendor agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure shipping documents-including invoices, airway bills, bills of lading, and customs declarations-are accurate and complete
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting freight operations and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines
Operational Efficiency & Cost Control
- Analyze and improve workflows for better efficiency and cost reduction
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide continuous improvement
- Apply best practices in warehouse coordination, route optimization, and shipment consolidation
