Freelance 3D Printing Trainer

Think Design Make (TDM) is looking for confident, hands-on freelance 3D-printing trainers to teach adult learners in Singapore. This role suits makers, designers, engineers, makerspace staff, adjunct trainers and experienced technical facilitators who enjoy helping complete beginners turn digital designs into successful physical prints.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• S$30–S$40 per teaching hour, based on experience and ability to teach independently

• 24 teaching hours per cohort

• Three or more cohorts may typically be available each month, subject to confirmed demand and scheduling; this is not guaranteed

• Illustrative potential payout of S$2,160–S$2,880 for three 24-hour cohorts, when available — approximately nine teaching days

• Lesson plans, presentation materials and teaching equipment provided

• Practical mentorship from an active 3D-printing business

• Progression from associate to independent or lead trainer

• Potential opportunities for additional corporate workshops or private courses Indicative trainer levels:

• Associate trainer: S$30/hour

• Independent trainer: S$35/hour

• Lead trainer: S$40/hour

Curriculum familiarisation is required and unpaid. Transport reimbursement may be provided at TDM's discretion depending on the location and circumstances.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Deliver practical, beginner-friendly 3D-printing training to adult learners

• Guide learners through Fusion 360, slicing and FDM printing workflows

• Demonstrate safe and effective operation of Bambu Lab printers

• Explain technical concepts clearly and troubleshoot common print issues

• Maintain a patient, reliable and engaging classroom presence

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Intermediate to advanced Fusion 360 proficiency

• Familiarity with Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or similar slicing software

• Practical experience operating Bambu Lab printers from any series

• Strong understanding of FDM 3D-printing fundamentals

• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common printing problems

• Confidence speaking to adult learners and explaining technical concepts to complete beginners

• Patience, reliability and good classroom presence

• Availability for full-day, multi-day cohorts

ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS

• ACLP certification

• MOE trainer/instructor certification or registration

• Adult-learning or WSQ teaching experience

• Tinkercad experience

• Previous classroom, workshop or facilitation experience

Training locations: JEM, International Plaza, Tampines Central and Ang Mo Kio Broadway Plaza

Schedule: Weekdays and weekends
