FP&A Analyst / Trading Accountant

This is a mid-size energy and bunker trading company with ambitious growth plans in the region. As part of those ambitions, there is now a newly created opportunity as a FP&A Analyst to enhance the management reporting structure of the company's business activities.
Main responsibilities
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast) and provide clear commentary on business performance.
- Track and monitor key financial and operational metrics, including trading margins, volumes and cost drivers.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance financial visibility and reporting across the business.
- Assist on other ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required by Senior Management.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant professional qualifications.
- Minimum 3 - 6 years relevant experience in accounting, preferably within an energy, commodities trading or shipping environment.
- Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting is essential.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting or financial analysis will be an added advantage.
- Able to function as a hands-on contributor in a lean team environment.
- High proficiency in Excel skills and Microsoft Office experience.
