Role Summary

The Footwear LOB Leader will own Opptra's end-to-end footwear business across India, Southeast Asia, and GCCdriving market entry, brand partnerships, category strategy, and omni-channel scale for global footwear brands.

Acting as Opptra's primary strategic partner to international footwear brands, the leader will manage brand onboarding, assortment and buying strategy, pricing, distribution, marketplace expansion, and SIS (department store) presence. The role combines brand-first thinking, commercial discipline, deep footwear category expertise, and technology-led innovation to build next-generation omni-channel footwear businesses.

This is a high-impact entrepreneurial leadership role for a category leader who can operate at both strategic and execution depth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Opptra's 35 year footwear growth vision across athletic, lifestyle, outdoor, comfort, kids, and premium segments.
  • Curate and scale a portfolio of high-potential global footwear brands across entry, mid, and premium price tiers in
  • Identify white-space opportunities across sub-categories (sneakers, performance, sandals, casual, formal, kids) and regional demand nuances.
  • Build long-term category roadmaps aligned to margin, inventory economics, and portfolio synergies.

Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in footwear category management, buying, or GM roles.
  • Proven track record of scaling large footwear businesses across omni-channel formats.
  • Deep understanding of footwear supply chains, inventory economics, and replenishment.
  • Strong global brand relationships and negotiation experience.
  • Entrepreneurial, high-ownership mindset with strong execution rigor.
