Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Football Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for training, developing, and enhancing the performance of the club's goalkeepers. This role involves working closely with individual goalkeepers to improve their technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning. The Football Goalkeeper Coach will play a key role in the overall success of the team by ensuring goalkeepers are well-prepared for match-day performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Sessions: Develop and lead goalkeeper-specific training sessions focusing on shot stopping, positioning, distribution, footwork, and communication.
- Individual Development: Work closely with each goalkeeper to assess their strengths and areas for improvement, creating personalized training plans to aid their development.
- Match Preparation: Analyze opposition teams and assist in tactical preparation for goalkeepers, including understanding opponents attacking styles and set-piece strategies.
- Fitness & Conditioning: Design specific physical conditioning programs to improve goalkeepers agility, strength, and endurance, in collaboration with the fitness coach.
- Video Analysis: Conduct video analysis sessions to break down game footage and provide feedback on goalkeepers performances, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaboration with Coaching Staff: Work alongside the head coach and other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to player development and match preparation.
- Monitoring Progress: Track the progress of all goalkeepers, ensuring they are improving technically, mentally, and physically.
- Goalkeeper Equipment: Ensure goalkeeping equipment is maintained and that the goalkeepers have access to necessary resources for training and matches.
- Match Day Support: Provide tactical and technical guidance to goalkeepers during matches, offering on-the-spot advice and motivation.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: UEFA Goalkeeper Coaching License or equivalent coaching qualification.
Relevant coaching certifications (Minimum of UEFA or AFC A coaching license equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience as a goalkeeper coach at a professional football club or national team.
Strong knowledge of the game, with an emphasis on goalkeeper techniques, tactics, and game management.
Previous experience working with players of various age groups and abilities.
