Modules: WSQ Food Safety Course (Levels 1-4), Culinary & Food Services

Job Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Food Safety & Culinary Trainer to deliver Food Safety Course (FSC) Levels 1 to 4, along with other culinary and food services-related training modules. The role involves classroom and practical training delivery, learner assessment, and compliance with SSG and SFA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Food Safety Course (FSC) Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 in accordance with WSQ and SSG guidelines

  • Conduct training for other culinary, food hygiene, and food services-related modules as assigned

  • Facilitate engaging classroom and practical training sessions for adult learners

  • Conduct assessments, invigilation, and practical evaluations as per WSQ requirements

  • Ensure accurate completion of training documentation, attendance, assessments, and reports

  • Maintain compliance with SSG, SFA, NEA, and internal quality assurance standards

  • Support course audits, inspections, and academic reviews when required

  • Update training materials in line with regulatory or syllabus changes

  • Provide learner guidance and ensure a safe and effective training environment

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Certified to deliver Food Safety Course (FSC) Levels 1-4 in Singapore

  • Possess relevant SSG-approved Trainer and Assessor (ACTA / DDDLP) qualification

  • Diploma or Higher level with Food Science related module

  • Strong industry background in Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts, or Food Services operations (Retail or Food Manufacturing).

  • Prior experience delivering WSQ or FSC courses with a training provider or PEI

  • Good understanding of SFA food safety regulations and compliance standards

  • Confident in classroom facilitation and practical training delivery

  • Good documentation, reporting, and communication skills

Preferred / Advantage

  • Experience handling multiple WSQ modules beyond FSC

  • Exposure to audits by SSG, SkillsFuture, or SFA

  • Ability to conduct both theory and practical assessments independently
