Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop customised food safety management systems and Halal related documents for new/ existing clients and update as required
- Develop and conduct food safety and nutrition related trainings
- Conduct food safety audits at food premises to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and standard requirements
- Apply SFA related licences on behalf of clients
- Review food labels according to latest food labelling requirements
- Manage and provide food safety technical advisory for clients
- Thorough understanding of food safety and nutrition regulations, HACCP principles and industry best practices
- Knowledge of food safety management systems such as SS444, SS590, ISO22000, FSSC 22000 and Halal is an advantage
- Staying up-to-date with the latest food safety regulations and industry standards
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Food Science & Nutrition, Food Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience in a food safety auditing or quality assurance role within the food and beverage industry
- Preferably ACLP/ ACTA, WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1, Level 3, ISO 22000 Internal Auditor certified (or equivalent)
- A responsible team player with a positive attitude and able to work independently, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address food safety risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse audiences and stakeholders
- Fast learner with strong multitasking skills
