The Services required are set out as follows:

The NFS Food Laboratory Assistant supports the daily operations,

cleanliness, safety and organisation of the Food Laboratories and

preparation areas.

Key responsibilities include but limit to the following:

1. School Days

. cleaning and sanitising kitchens, workrooms, tables, sinks, cookers,

ovens, grills, floors and other work areas

. managing kitchen linen and waste disposal

. checking and replenishing cleaning supplies

. receiving and organising food deliveries

. ensuring utensils, cutlery and equipment are complete and properly

stored

. prepares ingredients and equipment according to teachers

instructions

. provides operational support during practical lessons, and ensures

food is stored safely using the First In First Out principle.

2. School Holidays

A. Food Laboratories

. thorough cleaning and sanitisation of the Food Labs

. clearing expired or unwanted food

. stocktaking of equipment and dry ingredients

. checking expiry dates and quantities, updating stock records

. cleaning storage areas and presentation ware

. replacing drawer linings and tablecloths

. preparing the Food Labs for the new school term.

B. Non - Food Laboratories

. assist OM with OSO duties
