Job Description

Responsibilities:

. Effectively manage stock commitment at country and store level in order to maximise sales and profitability

. Ensure catalogue for your area meets customer requirements, reflects the best of M&S and deliver our financial objectives

. Maximise profitability through commercial probes using all information available

. Manage stock and catalogue commitment in line with agreed promotional activities and eak trading opportunities

. Work with marketing and VM to deliver appropriate promotional displays using both stock and supporting material

. Set and maintain clear price structures which are both competitive in the market and achieve our financial objectives

. Manage price changes / mark down to ensure effective control of stock

. Work closely with the retail teams and conduct regular store visits to gauge customer feedback and identify market trends

. Provide accurate and up-to-date information to management and visitors

. To liaise effectively, and positively influence the M&S UK principle food team for the enhancement of the food business in Singapore.

. Keep store management and retail teams up-to-date on merchandise information

Others

. Occasionally manage returns, customer complaints and claims where appropriate

Requirements

. A Diploma/Degree with minimum 2 years of buying experience and preferably with experience in retail or FMGG industry

. Proficient in MS Excel application

. Strong analytical skills

. An independent team player with a keen attention to details

. A good team player with positive working attitude
