Responsibilities:
Develop and manage daily delivery schedules, assigning drivers to specific routes based on operational needs and customer time slots.
Coordinate with in house operations teams to ensure timely tanker filling and vehicle readiness.
Liaise with the workshop team to schedule regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections of vehicles, ensuring that repairs are completed on time without disrupting logistics operations.
Maintain compliance with SCDF, LTA, and other relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary certifications for vehicles and drivers are in place.
Ensure efficient vehicle utilization and minimal downtime while maintaining adherence to safety standards.
Supervise drivers and vehicle attendants, ensuring adherence to company policies, transportationregulations and safety requirement.
Provide regular briefings on routes, safety protocols and schedules.
Plan, assign, and adjust delivery routes based on logistics requirements and customer demand.
Conduct performance appraisals and ensure comprehensive training programs are in place
Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols, especially regarding the handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
Conduct daily toolbox meetings to keep drivers in high safety awareness
Ensure drivers compliance with customer's safety policies such as PPE compliance and attend and pass customer SIC.
Ensure effective communication and coordination with internal teams (operations, workshop, logistics) to ensure smooth and timely delivery operations.
Address and resolve customer inquiries or conflicts related to deliveries with planners.
Handle feedback from drivers and attendants to continuously improve service quality and logistics operations.
Prepare and maintain reports on vehicle usage, trip efficiency, driver performance, and fuel consumption.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics operations, optimizing routes and vehicle usage to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors and management, supporting overall logistics and fleet operations.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fleet/transport operations.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Good knowledge of local transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Able to work under pressure and handle operational issues promptly.
