Job Description
Description
Our client is a leading international food ingredients and taste solutions company with an established flavour creation team in Southeast Asia. As part of a significant investment to further strengthen its creative capabilities in the region, they are looking to add talented Flavorists to their innovation hubs in Singapore and Indonesia.
Responsibilities
This is not a replacement hire or a narrowly defined vacancy. The organisation is deliberately increasing the depth and strength of its existing creation team, with the ambition of assembling an exceptional bench of Flavorists capable of competing at the highest level. They are therefore interested in speaking with accomplished Flavorists across all levels of seniority, from experienced Flavorists through to Senior, Principal and Master Flavorists.
Category specialisation is equally open. Whether your expertise lies within Sweet, Beverage, Dairy, Savoury, Culinary or another flavour category, the organisation is interested in understanding what you can bring to the team and providing a platform where you can further develop your craft.
Working across Southeast Asia, you will have the opportunity to create and develop flavours for customer briefs as well as proactive innovation projects, collaborating closely with Applications, Sensory, Analytical, Regulatory and Commercial teams. For more senior Flavorists, the scope can extend to complex and strategic creation projects, key customer engagements, technical leadership and the development of other creators.
Requirements
The organisation has a highly entrepreneurial culture and is particularly interested in talented Flavorists who want greater room to create, contribute and make an impact. This could be an attractive platform for individuals who feel constrained in their current environment, whether through limited opportunities to participate in certain projects, insufficient customer or category exposure, organisational boundaries, or simply not receiving the recognition and career progression that their creative and technical capabilities deserve.
Importantly, there is no single definition of what career progression should look like. Flavorists who aspire towards people and technical leadership can progress along a management pathway, while those whose passion remains firmly in creation can continue developing as highly regarded subject matter experts and senior individual contributors. Both career paths are valued.
If you are passionate about flavour creation and would like to explore a platform where you can broaden your exposure, further develop your craft and play a meaningful role in strengthening a high-performing regional creation team, we would be pleased to have a confidential discussion.
