Fixed Income Trader

Our client, a well-established bank, is seeking a Fixed Income Trader to join its growing Treasury team.

Job Description

Execute trades across fixed-income products, including government bonds, corporate bonds, credit instruments and interest-rate products.
Manage trading positions, market risk, liquidity and portfolio performance within approved limits.
Analyse interest-rate trends, credit markets and macroeconomic developments to identify trading opportunities.
Provide competitive pricing, trade ideas and market commentary to Treasury Sales, Relationship Managers and institutional clients.
Work closely with Sales, Risk, Operations and Compliance to ensure efficient execution and settlement.
Maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers and other market participants.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk-management guidelines.
Prepare trading reports, position updates and performance analyses for management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
3-8 years of fixed-income trading or financial-markets experience within a bank or financial institution.
Strong knowledge of government and corporate bonds, credit markets, interest-rate products and hedging instruments.
Sound understanding of market risk, liquidity management and trading controls.
Familiarity with Bloomberg, electronic trading platforms and treasury risk-management systems.
Strong analytical, decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
