Fixed Income ETF Trader
A leading global trading firm is seeking a Fixed Income ETF Trader to join its growing desk. This role offers the opportunity to trade at the intersection of ETFs and underlying bond markets, focusing on pricing, liquidity provision, and risk management across fixed income products.
About the Role
As a Fixed Income ETF Trader, you will be responsible for pricing and trading a wide range of bond ETFs, managing risk in real time, and identifying relative value opportunities between ETFs and their underlying instruments. You will work closely with research, quant, and technology teams to enhance trading strategies and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade fixed income ETFs across global markets (e.g., government bonds, credit, emerging markets)
- Price ETFs relative to underlying baskets and derivatives
- Manage risk and inventory in fast-moving market conditions
- Identify arbitrage and relative value opportunities
- Monitor market flows, liquidity conditions, and macro drivers
- Collaborate with quant and engineering teams to improve models and trading tools
- Contribute to the development of systematic and semi-systematic strategies
Requirements
- Experience trading ETFs, fixed income products, or related instruments
- Strong understanding of bond markets, yield curves, and credit dynamics
- Familiarity with ETF structure, creation/redemption mechanisms, and market making
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Programming or data analysis experience (e.g., Python) is a plus
