Fixed Income and Structured Products Sales Trader
Job Description:
- Drive sales and distribution of fixed income securities, structured products and mutual funds across the Companys ASEAN offices.
- Build and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships across a diverse client base including retail, high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors and Prime Brokerage clients.
- Serve as the primary distribution channel for the Companys Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team, supporting seamless execution of primary bond offerings.
- Work closely with the Risk team to onboard new counterparties for Fixed Income and Structured Product transactions.
- Deliver proactive market insights, trade ideas, and product advisory to help clients optimize portfolio strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth in fixed income, structured products and mutual fund markets.
- Trade and execute OTC product transactions, including both primary and secondary market orders across Fixed Income, Structured Products and Mutual Funds.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers to ensure competitive pricing, access to market flows and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes and product innovations to provide clients with timely, actionable advice.
- Coordinate with internal teams including DCM, Risk, Middle Office, and Operations to ensure seamless execution and post-trade processes.
Requirements
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales and trading roles, ideally within fixed income and structured product markets.
- Deep product knowledge of fixed income instruments, equity-based derivatives, structured notes, and mutual funds.
- Strong execution capabilities in both primary and secondary OTC markets.
- Proven ability to advise on and distribute complex investment products in a competitive environment.
- Strong technical understanding of financial markets, pricing mechanics and risk-return profiles.
- Excellent interpersonal, sales, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across client segments and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, target-driven mindset, with a focus on delivering value-add solutions and meeting revenue objectives.
