About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.

Financial Strategy

The Financial Strategy team within Group Finance and Corporate Services plays a pivotal role in supporting UOB's strategic financial objectives. The team partners closely with business units and senior management to ensure the efficient deployment of capital and balance sheet resources, provide forwardlooking financial insights, and drive datadriven decisionmaking across the Group. Responsibilities span capital optimization, financial modeling and strategic advisory.

Job Responsibilities

The candidate will join the Capital Management Team and play a key role in leading and executing capital management initiatives across the Group. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reviewing the Group's capital positions to ensure adequacy and compliance.
  • Maintaining and enhancing capital dashboards, forecasts, and analytical tools.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory, legal, and accounting developments, and assessing their implications on capital planning, strategy, and optimization.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards for RWA and RoRWA monitoring to support business insights and decision-making.
  • Recommending strategies to optimize the Group's capital structure and improve RoRWA efficiency.
  • Supporting and contributing to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and Group Strategic objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent professional certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector, with strong familiarity with RWA, MAS 637, and Basel regulatory frameworks.
  • Proactive, meticulous, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadlinedriven setting.
  • Resourceful with strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with business, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Passionate about using data analytics and financial modeling to generate insights that support highquality decisionmaking.
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing ability, and strong stakeholder management skills.
