Fire & GA Underwriting Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new business and review renewals for Fire/GA price and set terms within authority.
- Perform risk assessment and coverage determination prepare balanced referrals/recommendations for risks above authority.
- Produce accurate documentation and instructions ensure timely, error-free processing.
- Partner with intermediaries (brokers/agents) to identify and secure opportunities support quotes and negotiations.
- Coordinate with operations/claims/finance to ensure smooth policy issuance and service delivery.
- Guide and lead team members on workflow, controls, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Recognised Diploma/Degree, preferably in Management, Accountancy or Commerce.
- Experience in the General Insurance industry with an insurer/reinsurer or broker (Fire/GA exposure preferred).
- Strong organisation and time-management skills meticulous with documentation.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills collaborative team player.
- Relevant GI certifications (e.g., CGI)
