Financial Systems Manager / Core Ledger Lead / Banking Architecture Director

The Financial Systems Manager / Core Ledger Lead / Banking Architecture Director is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, optimization, and governance of financial systems and core banking platforms. The role focuses on ensuring accurate financial processing, scalable transaction architecture, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability across banking or financial ecosystems.

Key responsibilities include managing core ledger systems, financial transaction platforms, reconciliation frameworks, and accounting infrastructure. The role involves ensuring seamless integration between banking systems, payment platforms, ERP solutions, and financial reporting environments.

The financial systems leader works closely with finance, engineering, product, risk, compliance, operations, and external vendors to align technology architecture with financial and regulatory requirements. They are responsible for system modernization initiatives, ledger integrity, transaction consistency, and operational scalability.

In addition, the role includes supporting digital banking transformation, evaluating financial technologies, and improving automation, reporting, and data governance capabilities. The Financial Systems Manager / Banking Architecture Director plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting regulatory compliance, and enabling secure, high-performance banking operations.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
• 7–15+ years of experience in financial systems, banking technology, ERP platforms, or fintech infrastructure roles
• Strong understanding of core banking systems, ledger management, and financial transaction processing
• Experience with ERP and financial platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, Temenos, Finacle, Mambu, or similar systems
• Familiarity with payment systems, reconciliation processes, and accounting workflows
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, audit controls, and data governance standards
• Experience in enterprise architecture, system integration, and API-based financial ecosystems
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Experience leading digital transformation or banking modernization programs is an advantage
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Certifications in enterprise architecture, finance systems, or cloud technologies are a plus
