GENERAL SUMMARY

The FP&A Manager will assist the Head of FP&A, APAC to implement a robust performance management framework, closely monitoring financial performance, and producing insightful management reporting for senior stakeholders. The role will help in overseeing expense tracking and allocation, drive efficiency initiatives, and coordinate annual and long-term financial planning processes. Substantial liaison with all stakeholders is expected to build the analytical and commercial capabilities of the finance function.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performance Management Framework

Implement a robust performance management framework to monitor financial performance of APAC's regions and business units, in close cooperation with Underwriting, Actuarial, and other relevant functions.

  • Expense Monitoring and Efficiency

Oversee expense tracking and allocation, provide insights on spend, and make recommendations for efficiency opportunities across APAC.

  • Management Reporting

Produce insightful, results-oriented management reporting for senior management and strengthen control processes around finance close, forecasts, and planning.

  • Financial Planning Process

Coordinate and facilitate annual and long-term financial planning based on top-down targets and review of bottom-up plans, including frequent forecasting.

  • Technical Skills

Ensure familiarity with Anaplan and other relevant financial systems. Strong analytical and modelling skills; understanding of corporate finance concepts and processes

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified accountant with Bachelor degree in Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive financial experience gained in insurance industry. Additional experience could include relevant roles with a well-known audit or consulting firm.
  • Experience with Corporate FP&A, including production of management information reporting and leading firm wide financial planning process.
  • Solid understanding of accounting relevant for insurance, in particular US GAAP.
  • Understanding of corporate finance concepts and processes.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders globally and from various backgrounds
  • Ideally familiarity with Anaplan and Workday.
  • Excellent written and verbal commutation skills.
